A little bit of history on how we started our deaf ministry...
It all started by a hearing mother (Ms. Cam) of a deaf son who felt impressed by the Lord to interpret for Chapel of Change services when it first started in 2012. At that time, there were NO deaf people in attendance. She felt that deaf people needed to hear the word being preached by Pastor Brian. She asked Pastor Brian if she could interpret the 12:30pm sermon into ASL. Pastor Brian agreed. Fast forward to today. We now have an average of 20-30 deaf people attending Chapel of Change. Talk about a leap of faith that Ms. Cam had.
"We are not just here to serve the deaf community, but also serve with them and even be led by them.. My heart is to raise up deaf Kingdom leaders to impact the world with the Gospel," Pastor Brian says.
Our deaf ministry has grown tremendously and Renee Thomas is now ordained as a Pastor in our conference!!
